Toni Peterson - CEO Oatly
Oatly has transformed from a dull food processing company into a fearless challenger brand. What have they done to end up side by side with industry giants such as Disney and NBA on the list of the world’s top ten most innovative companies? This and more we'll get to know when Oatly CEO Toni Petersson, enter the Norrsken House stage for Norrsken Sessions #10.Oatly was founded back in 1990’s and were actually the first manufacturer to commercialize oat drink, a milk alternative based on oats. But before 2012, Oatly was just another milk alternative in the dairy section and it was more or less only lactose intolerant people who knew about their existence.
Then Toni happened. Since he took over as CEO in 2012, Oatly's revenue has increased from 200 million SEK to 1 billion in 2018. The company has transformed from selling a milk alternative to selling a lifestyle. This change is the topic of the session and we'll dig deep to try and find the key ingredients that Toni’s put into the company to create a successful transformation.
